Hi,
I was thinking about doing an experiment that would require the blocking of mRNA degradation pathways and am having trouble finding commercial compounds to do so. I'm working on mammalian cells, and have come across such compounds as Thiolutin, which blocks both transcription and degradation, but in yeast. And it doesn't seem as if there are any available compounds to inhibit exosome degradation function (from what I could see). I came across a compound (DMA) to inhibit exosome trafficking, but am not sure if it would inhibit the exonuclease activity of it as well. Does anyone have any ideas? Do such compounds exist? Thanks.
