Would someone happen to know why if you perform an adoptive transfer, the immunologic memory decreases as time passes by? For example, if you exposed the antibody to an antigen right away, the immune response is rapid. But, if you expose the antibody to an antigen like 12 weeks later, the immune response rapidly decreases (the concentration of antibody specific for the antigen significantly decreases)?


I was thinking that, T cell memory decreases if there's a delay in being presented with an antigen
