Hi there...

I have a problem in choosing which Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) is suitble for PC12 cell line. Ive search in few company such as Invitrogen, Sigma, Promega etc.. There is so many type of NGF. But most familiar to me are 7s and 2.5s. it is very helpful if you can answer or give any suggestion on those inquiry:-

1) Which 1 is better? 2.5s or 7s NGF
2) What is "s" refer to? n what is the different between 2.5 n 7? is it concentration?
3) Why some of the journal that work on PC12 cell line used NGF and some of them does not? If we use NGF, does we will get better result?
4) I realize that, most of the paper which work on NO assay and iNOS on PC12 will use NGF.  So, I assume that NGF might influence the production of NO ( Nitric Oxide). Is it true?

Thanks alot for your kind n cooperation.. ^_^

Regards
- me -
