There are many different KO mice in our lab and during the maintanence I found that it's difficult for recording, especially there are large amount and different background, also the mice were marked by ear tag.

my current method is writing them down in the notebook.

So, I come to ask where somebody known some awesome software to record the breeding mice ?

Thks.

It's not awesome software but recording them in a spreadsheet, using MS Excel or OpenOffice Calc for example, would be an improvement from recording them in a notebook (as long as it's backed up). You'd be able to quickly search for specific ones, or sort them into groups etc... no need to flick through however many pages you have in your notebook.

You could also use database programs but I prefer spreadsheets...
