hello,
are you looking to detect B-actin as a control to ur extraction ?
as to my knowledge, no ...
it is like GAPDH ...

if you have extracted your viral DNA or RNA from tissues/blood go and detect it,
you will see it ...
but doing extraction from cell-free body fluids, you won't see it as : CSF

I don't think viruses contain beta-actin at all.  They typically have their own coat proteins expressed off genes within the genome.  However, I don't know about all viruses so...
