hi,

i would like to ask for opinion. I've done sequencing reaction and found SNP in my sample seq. The SNP located in the targated exon but outside the CDS reagion and in the STS, which means that my mutation doesnt affect any of the amino acid sequence.am i right? so, my question is what does my SNP indicate? does it have any effect to the gene product or in what manner does the SNP affected the gene?

Thanks.
