MTT different from thymidine

Hi,
I did proliferation assay that showed decrease in thymidine intake but in the MTT I got no change
what does it means?

Thymidine incorporation reflects nucleic acid synthesis whilst MTT metabolic activity. Your cell may have stopped synthesizing NA but still be alive and metabolically active.
