I've run the SDS-PAGE gel wfor the TMV capsid protein with marker which has lysozyme as the last band. The band that occurs on the gel was larger (above the lysozyme marker) which is larger than 19kDa but in the journals that I looked in, the TMV CP is usually around 17.5-18 kDa. What may be the reason of this? Also the lanes was all loaded with the same amount and CP but the bands were not in one line, although similar but there was a little variation. Is there any reason for that?
