I am doing structure-function studies on a membrane-expressed protein using site-directed mutagenesis and stable cell transfections of TC cells. I would like to be able to compare cells transfected with my mutants with the wild-type protein. What is the best way to obtain relatively "equal" expressing clones? What is the best way to assay for expression?

Any help would be appreciated.
