Hi all

I am performing the normalization of my gene with actin , but the problem is that i need to analyze the band intensities in order to get the gene/actin ratio. I donot know any online available software for doing it.

PCR on a gel is an endpoint assay - it will not give you a quantitative measure unless you take a small amount out at each cycle and run it on the gel and then compare intensities over time.  The easy way to do this is to do real-time PCR (qPCR).

Try ImageJ (freeware from the NIH) for band analysis.
