Dear people,

does anyone has experience with DH10B (or NEB10B which should be the same) cultivated in defined synthetic medium? According to the genotype addition of Leucine should be enough but it seems that the strain is also dependent on thiamine?

According to a comparison of DH10B and Rel606 the thiamine ABC transporter is deleted in DH10B (see this link) ...but to me this would mean thiamine can be only synthesized by the cell and not taken up from the medium?
Anyone has a clue ...or is experienced in culturing this strain in minimal medium?
Help is appreciated :)

Many thanks in advance!
Regards,
p
