Hello everyone! I would like to ask whether local alignments without gaps is just limited to two sequences of exactly the same length? If the two sequences are not of the same length, does it mean that it cannot undergo local ungapped alignment??

Hi, The two sequences of comparable length ( not necessarily same) can undergo local ungapped alignment, use EMBOSS tool to do local alignment, for more information you can also look bioinformatics section of www.way2biotech.com
