I am trying to establish primary cell lines from head and neck tumors.  I seem to be able to grow them, but  I can't seem to be able to passage them without the normal fibroblasts from overgrowing the culture and ruining my chances of growing the head and neck tumor.

I suggest that you try to avoid using trypsin for passaging the cells. Use 2mM EDTA [in saline] instead. This way, fibroblasts will not be removed from the plastic dish and will not be passaged to the next plate.
