ok...enough of quirky music....this here's what I'm listening to right now...some sweet violin shreddin' :P....one of my favourite Sibelius pieces...and probably one of the best interpretations (not the orchestra but Oistrakh's) :

well back from gloomy (and out-of sync) to something more modern, but a similar old recording:

Blind Faith, one of Clapton's short-lived bands (but the best). Playing 1969 in Hyde Park a Rolling Bones track: Under my thumb

gloomy? well, technically, the piece is very difficult and demanding...and only true virtuosos can pull it off.... actually, when the violin concertos premiered in 1903 (?) it was demolished by the critics...but he revised it and later on- redemption :)...plus I like it....and we can't expect a better quality of the recording- 1966 and russian...we're just lucky that it survived...
