[cancerous]

Hi!

I need to do sphere formation assay to see if my gene of interest promotes self-renewal property of cancer cells (Liver cancer) and try to argue this gene increases cancer stem cell population.

I saw one brief method description regarding this assay but I do not know the difference between sphere formation assay and cell viability assay by counting colonies after crystal violet stain.

Please help me to do this experiment! Thanks!
