Can anyone tell me how to ship primary neuronal cultures overnight. Should I ship a suspension of cells in a Hibernate-filled tube on ice. What do you suggest?

Thanks

Wendy

The best way to send it would be to send a freezed sample. You need a lot of dry ice to be sure to keep the sample freezed, so, even if the tube is little, a big box is what you need. You put ice packs at the bottom, then fill with blocks of dry ice. Then, put your sample that is directly coming from the nitrogen freezer (in a ziploc). Add some more dry ice on top. This kind of package is good for two days without damaging the cells.
