Hi, i wanted to prepare carbonate buffer for my ELISA. it's my 1st time  :P

my question is, can we autoclave sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate?

from the protocol i saw, most of the people using filter sterilize method.

you should filter sterilize if you need it to be sterile.

but, why sterilize?

we make it fresh when we use it and don't sterilize.
