Sir,     I am unable to understand whether "internal mismatches" in hybridization(southern blot), refer to mismatches between the oligonucleotide probeand the target DNA of interest or does it indicate dimerization between the oligo probes themselves.I am extremely  confused with this and I will be really grateful if you can enlighten me on this.                                                                                        Thanking you,                                                                                        chiradeep.
