Hello all. I have been working on acid extracting histones from skeletal muscle with limited success. In the image below (edit: here's a link), the first four lanes are muscle histones, and the last four are brain histones. I keep getting high molecular weight complexes from skeletal muscle. I believe they are histones stuck to something, but could be wrong. Any thoughts?
