Hello all,

I'm looking for the protein concentration I can expect from an E. coli culture based on optical density. Basically, my PI wants me to test our new French Pressure Cell and in order to quantify cell lysis he wants me to measure how many cells I have going into the press and how much protein is released in the whole cell lysate. Does anyone know the expected concentration of protein I can expect in the lysate given an initial volume and OD and ~90% cell lysis? I've looked all over but now I'm sort of at the end of my rope.
