I have received several sets of PBMC that are infected with HIV from NIH.  Their propogation protocol is skimpy at best.  They suggest growing the cells in RPMI-1640 media supplemented with 10U/mL of IL-2.  I have tried this with 2 sets of cells and each time the culture died.  Could someone suggest a protocol that would allow me to propogate PBMCs???  Thanks!

what kind of cell you need from PBMC.
based on your requirement you can use different type of supplements

Did the product info sheets that came with the cells recommend a manufacturer for the IL-2? If so, it would be worthwhile to try obtaining the IL-2 from the same place.
