Hey,
I actually have a problem.
I transformed the DH5 alpha.
It was supposed to become luminescent and not grow on amp plates.
My strain did?

Any suggestions to this problem?

Thanks :D

I don't understand. What did you transform them with? Did you have an insert disrupting an ampicillin resistance gene? Otherwise, why would you try to grow your transformed bacteria on a medium which (you thought) would kill them?

DH5 alpha doenst have an amp resistance gene...
How can you make it resistance then without adding this gene by introducing a plasmid or transformation of the DNA with this gene.
If you don't know it, then ask it! Better to ask and look foolish to some then not ask and stay stupid.
