I am doing protein purifications from mammalian cell lines looking for chromatin bound proteins.  Our protocol uses benzonase nuclease to digest the DNA/RNA - other protocols use Micrococcal nuclease instead.  Is there some advantage to one over the other?  Does Benzonase digest chromatin?
Thanks
