I have a question about actin contamination in mitochondria extract. I performed WB on mitochondria extract from cells at different days of culture and I also detected actin to check the purity of the preparation. I actually had a low signal for actin at the beginning of culture but it increased after 3 days and much stronger after 6 days of culture, so it is difficult for me to believe that is a random cytosolic contamination. Has anybody some advices/explanation about that?
