I was wondering if anyone could help me: I have mice that are WT and the other is a knock-out for the particular gene. I want to generate MEFs from these individual mice. Because I also want to investigate the gene effect in tumorigenesis, I wanted to transform the MEFs with oncogenes. I was considering Kras and E1A but there were problems with this. I was wondering if anyone has worked on this and can let me know if, for example, SV40 is sufficient and efficient enough to transform these cell lines to allow investigation of various tumorigenic characteristics.
