At my institute, from the "Stores" department, which stocks most common materials, we can get 2.5l 96% ethanol for just over £8 or 2.5l absolute ethanol for just over £6. Obviously there's something wrong if the prices are that way around. Does someone know a cheaper source of ethanol (for sterilisation purposes), taking into account delivery charges?
Cheapest place for ethanol?

You could ask if they can get you ethanol contaminated/denaturated with acetone - it should be cheaper and it's good for sterilization.

For sterilization you can also use isopropyl alcohol...perhaps it's cheaper in your country.
