Hi!
I am using the BioVision plasma membrane protein extraction kit (Cat K268-50) which says to use a dounce homogenizer for lysing cells. Would it be possible to instead use a mechanical homogenizer at low speeds for purposes of extracting only plasma membrane proteins?

using a dounce is more about pestle clearance (how tight the fit is) than other homogenizers. you can be gentler with a dounce.
