Can anyone suggest a good protocol for the isolation of mouse alveolar macrophages?
I would also like to know how much alveolar macrophages can be isolated per mouse?

Check the Web.  There is a website called the macrophage in the lab that is very helpful.  Use go.com, type macrophage, it should be there.  Also, check current protocols in immunology.
