DRG transfection

Hi,
I am trying to transfect adult rat DRG neurons with EGFP using lipofectamine. I have not been successful in getting any transfections. This DNA is working well in HEK cell line. Is anyone out there has any experience with DRG transfections.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
