Hi!

I would like to know for how long you could fix a mouse brain (P5 -P15) if you don't use the perfusion method, but instead incubation in 4% PFA. Do you need days or some hours are enough? I want to cut cryosections and use them for in situ hybridization.

24 hrs in PFA should be fine for mouse brain even if not perfused.
