Goof afternoon,

I'm trying to purchase lambda phage particles (purified if possible) to use as a control for proteinase K digestion in a restriction analysis assay! I can readely find purified DNA from this bacteriophage but so far I have not find any place selling either live of purified viruses.
Would anybody know a company selling this??
Thanks for the help!
Cheers
Thierry

Carolina Biological sells inexpensive lambda phage cultures.  Your best bet is likely to grow some up and sterile filter out the bacteria, leaving phage.  Or, do a chloroform extraction, which is the normal way of making an active lysate.
