Anybody knows what difference can it makes to use mgcl2.6H2O instead of normal MGCL2?
Or can i prepare mgcl2 from mgcl2.6h2h? and how?

mgcl2.6H2O has six molecules of water for Hydration whereas MgCl2 is anhydrous. So, if you want to make a solution of MgCl2 at a specific concentration but you do not have the anhydrous MgCl2, then you have to reduce the water you would take for the final solution. There is a clear difference between the mol. wt. of the two, if you look it up and then you can accordingly make the solution.Hi mates,
