hybridisation with radiolabelled and non-radiolabelled probes on chromosomes embedded in cytoplasm is low due to the weak penetration of the probe during hybridisation. I have discovered that we can improve the efficiency of the hybridisation by washing the cell suspension in Procell Cytoclear before slides are processed for hybridisation. I highly recommend the method. Our vendor is Rainbow Scientific, but I am sure others distribute the product. Hope tjis tip helps others?
