I'm very new to QPCR (and to this forum!). I ran a QPCR plate the other day with 4 genes, one of which was GAPDH. And I don't know what happened but most of my samples did not return a Cp number for GAPDH but did for the other 3 genes. What could have been the cause of this?

Also, I don't know if this has already been posted but can someone explain to me what is the Cp? I know what the Ct is and I understand the 2^(Cp-Ct) concept but I don't understand the Cp and if I have values of Cp=40, why does this mean there is no gene present? Very confused... HELP!
