hi everyone,

I have purified my fusion protein and is now conjugated with gst beads. MY question is, how long can i keep these fusion protein beads? Or should i do gst pulldown immediately?

You can simply re-suspend your beads in a 50/50 mix of ethylene glycol/buffer and store them indefinitely at -20 degree.  I do large scale purifications, quantify protein by coomassie of serial dilutions comparing to BSA standard, aliquot and store.  I've been using the same purified proteins on gst beads for over 4 years with no problems.  Just be sure to wash your beads a couple of times with buffer before doing the pulldown to remove all the ethylene glycol.
