I am trying to stably transfect a pCMV-based construct (Organelle Markers from Origene) into MDA-MB-231 cells.  So far, I have tried Origene's Turbofectin 8.0, and the transfection efficiency has been very low (~10% maximum).  I have heard that JetPrime and Lipofectamine give better results, and am now trying an MDA-MB specific transfection reagent from Altogen. From your experiences, what transfection reagent has the highest transfection efficiency in MDA-MB-231 cells?

I haven't used the other transfection reagents, but I was able to use Lipofectamine 2000 to generate stably transfected MDA-MB-231 cell lines after two weeks.  My vector didn't have a fluorescent protein label, so I don't know how efficient it is - just that it works.
