Hi
I am going to use hek293t cells for expression of some proteins, I know hek293t cells are already transfected with TAg of sv40 and my expression plasmid has sv40 origion of replication,  I read some articles that say sv40 containing plasmids can replicate in hek293t cells so can I use hek293t cells for establishment of stable cell lines using this plasmid or this cell line is only used for transient expression?

thanks

We generate stables with 293T cells since the cDNA collection we are working with codes for Puromycin resistance and the 293T cells are Neomycin resistance.

thank you very much for your reply, was there any sv40 origion of replication in you expression plasmid ?
