I would like to know the role of sodium deoxycholate about protein precipitation with TCA.

hey michel.

Na Deoxycholate is an ionic dtergent.  ppl use it for getting memrbane proteins dissolved, etc.

depending on ur proteins and on when u wanna do ur ppt, it can be left out. ( at which evet u will ppt with tca/ethanol)

but i need to know what it is that u r doing.
