Hi,
I use the A280 absorbance to determine my His-tag purified protein. Just wondering if the A260/280 ratio means anything in this case? I have been getting 260/280~ 2.0. Does this mean there's nucleic acid contamination? What should I do??

I know in determining DNA concentration if A260/280 is low then that means there's probably protein or other substance contamination.

Thanks!!
