Hi,

We're a lab of 8 and we're working with 10+ more types of cell lines, all from one cancer tyep though. Ive been put in charge of looking after these cell lines. I would welcome any experience in how to record the cell line stock in liquid nitrogen.

Keep two records - a general register of each cell type listing the passage number/generation number, date, special conditions, and any other conditions you want. the second register should be of what is in each box, with just the basics listed: cell line name, passage number, date, and perhaps person who froze them down.
