Hi,
I produced alginate beads using L. hyperborea alginate at a concentration of 4.9 % and precipitated them into a 4% SrCl2 solution. The bacteria I put into these beads are photosynthetic bacteria which I grow under two light regimes. The beads have been growing for about 7 days now and suddenly the media in one of the replicates started to become extremely white, "cloudy" so to say. Does anybody know what could be going on ?
I greatly appreciate any help or suggestions
Thanks !
