Hi,
I am fixing my tobacco leaves in formaldehyde. Can I assume that if these leaves are stored in 70% ethanol their cell morphology won’t change?  Are there some reactions still going on in ethanol?

If they are fixed and then stored in ethanol, they should be OK, the ethanol will dehydrate the cells a bit, but re-hydration should fix that problem.
