Hi,
I have been thinking about the most suitable statistical approach to get the information I need: I was studying 250 individuals and 6 of them possesed the trait I was looking for. Is there any way how to calculate if the 6 out of 250 is statistically significant number? I have nothing to compare to...
Thank you very much for reply!

If it is just a physical number, i.e. literally you have 6 out of 250 (2.4%), then there is no statistics that can be done on it, unless you have something to compare it to (e.g. another study in a paper perhaps)
