I was wondering if anyone has used beta-mercaptoethanol as part of their routine transformation process? It has been reported to increase transformation efficiency, but I am not sure if this is only for the particular cells I am using (XL10-gold) or if this a general rule of thumb.
Would appreciate any input of use of b-ME in transformation. Thanks!
