Hi,

I need to identify a yet unknown protein from my cell lysates and I'm planning to do an immunoprecipitation with the ab that detects it.

Can anyone help me with little details on the procedure such as
do I need to use special microcentrifuge tubes
do I need to wear special gloves
do I need to use a special lysis buffer (I'm using Sigma RIPA)
is there anything I need to be careful with when I do the IP?

Any advice on samples preparation would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
