Right, just a quick question here,

I'm running a 15% acrylamide gel and expecting a protein with ~7.5 kDa size. Since I don't want my protein to be running out of the gel I wonder now, will loaded proteins run ahead of the blue loading dye? I'm using 2x loading dye

Hi,

You can reduce the amount of bromophenol blue concentration in Loading buffer that will help you in a better way, As its the concentration of glycerol which affects retention of protein in the well and dye just serve as tracking marker . Iin 15% SDS PAGE dye runs app at 5KDa size.

With Regards,
Mole .
