Hi all,
could anyone tell me how to design primers for qPCR?
I'm not very good in bioinformatics...  <_<
Thanks!

Hello,

I did a lot of qPCR work lately and I had very good results with the rtprimerdb (http://medgen.ugent.be/rtprimerdb/) and primerquest (http://eu.idtdna.com...st/Default.aspx) tools.

With rtprimerdb, you can, however, design only 5 primer pairs per 24 hours.

If you have any other problems, feel free to let me know!

Regards,
Philip

I can suggest you this one "getprime": http://updepla1srv1.epfl.ch/getprime/ It combines all features you need to have good primer quality and specificity (do not need to blast!). I get very good primers with this design.

Good luck!
