i want to ask about luciferase assay. can you share some complete site for luciferase assay starting with constructing and the appropriate controls?

Can i transfect luciferase contruct with my promoter of interest and co-transfect sirna to the cell too to knockdown a transcription factor that i suspect controls the promoter of my gene of interest? thank you
