Hi! Im currently working at tissue culture a Lab in Honduras. I dont have many resources nor time, because I will only be here for summer and I'm working on a very tight (or none at all) budget. We dont have MS Medium available but I did find most of its components that were bought form JT Baker around ten years ago. Im not sure if these will work since they are old, so there is my first question, if the proper storage was given, they should work, right?
Also, I couldnt find ammonium nitrate, I just have like 4 kg of potassium nitrate available, can I substitute ammonium nitrate for potassium nitrate? I gues I would need to add more potassium nitrate to compensate for the amount of N needed, but could this work at all?
