hello

i am doing research about helicobacter pylori and my problem is i am not sure that i can exract dna from biopsy samples by single dna extraction using CTAB/NACL and chlorophrom method
i dont want to cultre it
please help me

you just need the DNA to run PCR, right? so you wouldn't need to extract from all the sample. just a small piece would give you enough DNA to run PCR.

i know it bult my problem is about the method which i use i doubt about it and i didnt get any result form PCr for UreaC

If you're using the DNA just for PCR, try the QuickExtract solution from Epicentre. It works well with a variety of tissue samples.

I want to extract Helicobacter pylori`s DNA from biopsies (i got mine frozen in -80c). i was told to avoid phenol/chloroform method, but i cant find any method that not using Phenol/chloroform in extracting bacteria DNA. If i use any commercial kits for extracting DNA, will i get a pool of bacteria/human DNA and later use PCR to find Helicobacter?
